The Royal Oak Hawkeridge policy for Covid -19 Compliance
The Royal Oak Hawkeridge Limited will adhere to law and best practices, ensuring that all customers, staff and suppliers are shielded from Covid-19.
The premises, staff and operation has been fully assessed to reduce/ minimise the risk of transferring /catching the virus whilst on or in the premises.
We will be operating a 2 metre social distancing policy with table separation thus removing the requirement of plastic screens.
Tables can sit up to a maximum of 6 guests which can comprise of multiple families.
NEW! Face mask / coverings must now be worn at all times unless seated at a table.
This is both inside and outside of the premises.
NEW! Sorry but with a duty of care to both our staff and customers, no exceptions / exemptions will be permitted regarding the use of face masks / coverings.
NEW! we now support the NHS COVID-19 track & trace app with a QR sinage at the entrance.
The premises has been fully deep cleaned / sanitised.
Staff have been trained along with new procedures.
Procedures that will effect the customer journey and experience.

Booking is not essential but highly recommended due to tables being limited as part of social distancing.
Every customer or supplier must submit full contact details before being permitted entry to the premises. These details are solely for government contract tracing and will be deleted after 21 days. No details will be used or forwarded for marketing purposes.
Hand sanitiser will be offered upon arrival where you will be escorted to an available internal or external table.
There are no plastic screens between tables however every usable table will have a dummy(unused table) between them, thus creating a minimum social distancing of 2 metres.
There will be no customer access or service at the bar. There will be full table service including drinks.
All customers including children will need to remain seated at all times unless leaving or going to the toilet.
There will be a strict one in, one out procedure for using the toilets (unless part of the same family). You will be offered to sanitise your hands upon use of the toilets.
Our small children's play area will closed of until further notice.
There will only be access to the garden if you have selected a garden table upon arrival.
Walking around or standing in the garden is not permitted. Social standing and or drinking is not permitted.
For customers with internal seating that require to smoke, is permitted provided its within a designated smoking area and social spacing is maintained. Food and drink from inside can not be taken into the smoking areas.
Food and drinks can be ordered from the table via staff in PPE and from a safe distance or via our online web ordering facility.
All food and drink will be served to the end of your table. All empty glasses and plates will need to be placed at the end of the table for clearance.
Payment can be card, contactless, smart, web or cash.
Internally we are currently only permitted to cater for up to 30 guests at any one time.
Due to a reduction in available tables there will be a 90 minute limit stay on a table.
Upon departure your table will be cleared and sanitised ready for the next guests.
We also operate a online collection service offering takeaway food and drinks.
Collection will be from the carpark.
The Royal Oak reserves the right to change or amend this policy without notice.
We appreciate the support and common sense of customers during these challenging times.
Whilst we will do our very best to make the entire experience an enjoyable and pleasant one, it is far to say that things will feel different until this becomes the "new norm".
We do and will support our staff with regards to inappropriate behavior or abuse.
